How rewards costs work

Your subscription covers the platform. The cost of each reward is built into its points price in the catalogue — there is no separate per-redemption fee, and points your participants never spend cost you nothing.

Questions we get asked before the demo

Straight answers, on the page, so nobody has to book a call to find out.

Can we trial it first?

Not as a standing offer — Vouchley doesn’t run a trial rate, a beta rate, or a discounted starter period. The pricing you see is the pricing, for every customer.

What we do instead is scope the first programme so the risk is small, visible and reversible:

  • Your terms are agreed with you and written down before you start. Commercial terms are set out in your Statement of Work — the participants, the locations, the points rate, the fees, and a monthly budget cap.
  • The budget cap is a hard stop, not a guideline. The platform blocks spend past the cap you set. Your reward spend cannot run away from you.
  • A defined initial term, then a review.Your first programme runs to a set term. At the end of it we look at what it actually did — and either side can decline to continue.
  • An early-cancellation right where your Statement of Work includes it. Where that’s agreed, you can end that Statement of Work during the exit window on 14 days’ written notice, for any reason.
  • Your data leaves with you. Full export on termination, and outstanding participant points are handled under the wind-down terms in the agreement.

If the real question is “how do we do this without betting the year on it” — that’s the answer.

Why is there a minimum term, and how long is it?

Because a programme that hasn’t run long enough to be judged has cost you money for nothing. Setup, invitations and the first campaigns all land in the first quarter; the behaviour change they are meant to produce does not.

The minimum initial term on your first Statement of Work:

  • Starter— six months
  • Scale— twelve months
  • Enterprise— twenty-four months

After that initial term, it runs month to month.

Two things worth knowing. The minimum applies to your first Statement of Work only — if you later add a second programme, that Statement of Work carries no default minimum term of its own. And where your Statement of Work includes an early-cancellation right, it applies during the initial term too, on 14 days’ written notice.

Short programmes underperform. A six-week trial would tell you little except that six weeks is not long enough.

The setup fee — what is it for?

Work that Vouchley does, before you touch anything.

  • Building the programme — eligibility, earning rules, the points rate, the budget cap and its rollover policy.
  • Configuring the reward catalogue for your programme.
  • Applying your branding across the participant experience and the emails that go out under your name.
  • Setting up the route your sales data takes in, whichever of the five it is — including building a mapping by hand if your file matches nothing.
  • Preparing and loading your first participant list.
  • Standing up your first campaigns with you.

This is the concierge model, and it is deliberate. The operational surfaces have a big blast radius and benefit from us doing them; the marketing surfaces have a small blast radius and benefit from your own brand voice, so those stay with you.

It is a one-off charge at signature, invoiced once and not repeated. It is non-refundable, because the work is done up front — that is stated plainly in the agreement rather than buried in it.

Can we lock out our competitors?

Sometimes, and it is a per-deal conversation rather than a line on this page.

Exclusivity is available for eligible programmes and agreed per deal. Any exclusivity premium is typically calculated against your annual subscription fee; there is no published rate.

The scope varies enormously — a single product category in one state is not the same commitment as a national category lock. Bring the scope you have in mind to a demo and we will model the all-in number against your tier.

Is there a per-redemption fee?

No. There is no per-redemption fee and no per-seat charge.

The reward margin is already inside the catalogue points price your participants see. Your reward cost for a month is the catalogue value of what they actually redeemed, and nothing else.

The consequence worth stating plainly: points that are never redeemed cost you nothing. Unredeemed points are a liability on your books, but they are not an invoice from us. Vouchley has no financial reason to want your points to sit unspent, and no mechanism that would profit from it.

SMS is included — fair-use allowance

Every tier includes a monthly fair-use SMS allowance covering the messages Vouchley sends on your behalf — dispatch and delivery alerts, campaign notifications, and your own broadcast SMS:

  • Starter — 5,000 SMS / month
  • Scale — 10,000 SMS / month
  • Enterprise — uncapped

Run over in a given month and you get 30 days’ notice plus a chance to bring usage back in range before any over-allowance billing. Beyond that, extra volume is at-cost AUD $0.06 per SMS, no margin uplift. We say “fair-use” rather than “unlimited” on purpose — no gotcha invoice for normal use.
